MORE THAN FIVE YEARS after being hit by Tropical Storm Tomas, St Andrew resident Clarina Green is still battling the effects.
The most recent episode was around 7 a.m. on Wednesday when she heard a crashing sound. The 70-year-old, who walks with a noticeable limp, said she was lying in her bed and she knew it was the abandoned house next door which had fallen peril to land slippage.
Green went out to find that parts of guard wall at her side and back of the house had been knocked off when the house moved. Pieces of the wall fell into the gully in back of the house. The wall was already weakened because of a wide split, caused during the passage of Tomas in 2010.
