ST JOHN’S – National captain Shaquana Quintyne is among seven Barbadians named in a strong West Indies Women’s side for next month’s tour of South Africa and the Twenty20 World Cup which follows in March.

The 15-member side will be led by Stafanie Taylor and includes former captain Merissa Aguilleira, Deandra Dottin, twin Kycia and Kyshona Knight and experienced former vice-captain, Anisa Mohammed.

Quintyne has not played for the West Indies since 2014 due to injury but led Barbados to the regional women’s title last year.

Apart from Dottin, Quintyne and the Knight sisters, the other Bajans are fast bowler Shamilia Connell, all-rounder Hayley Matthews and seam bowler Shakera Selman, who is the vice-captain.
