Doc’s water pill

A FIRED UP Minister of Water Resource Management, Dr David Estwick, yesterday set out a number of solutions for this country’s water woes.

In the short term, Government has put in place two facilities that should see almost five million gallons of water per day reaching the badly affected residents of St Joseph, St Andrew and St John over the next few months.

Five hundred thousand gallons of water will come from a specially rehabilitated well at Groves, St George, which will supply the Golden Ridge/Castle Grant system, while another 3.5 million gallons will be made available through commissioning of the completed St Philip Water Augmentation project.

Work on the well at Groves is already under way.
