FIVE DAYS after being involved in an accident with a motorcycle, 32-year-old Keisha Young of Halls Village, St James succumbed to her injuries.
The mother of four-year-old Kaydon Young was walking in the area of Trents, St James when she was involved in a collision with a motorcycle on December 28.
The sister of former cricketer Franklyn Stephenson received head and facial injuries.
In an interview with NATION Online today, her niece Katrina Stephenson said Young was admitted to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on the same day of the accident. She was discharged on December 29, collapsed at home on Old Year’s Day and never regained consciousness, passing away on January 3.
The grieving niece said although Young was in need, she was always giving and loving.
“She really loved people, she used to visit many friends and if she had a breadfruit she would give it away,” Stephenson said in a low voice.
She added her dad Franklyn was taking it the hardest as he and Keisha were close. (MR)
