THE QUEEN Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) continues to be bolstered by the generosity and goodwill of Barbadians.

Minister of Health John Boyce told the media after a tour yesterday he was heartened by the fact Bajans still held the hospital in their hearts every year.

“There are a lot of donors who give to the hospital; our philanthropy programme is becoming a very important part of our work – we have developed a project where people can scan a brochure and see how they can help donate to the hospital. There are both large and small donations, which we truly appreciate,” he said.

Boyce singled out the Barbados Cancer Society, which raised funds towards the hospital’s new oncology suite; the Sandy Lane Trust; Goddard’s Enterprises and Rosie Skeete, who takes time to come to the hospital to sing and dance for the patients. (CA)
