HEALING HERBS: Lemon, ginger good for health challenges

“The closer you come to knowing that you alone create the world of your experience, the more vital it becomes for you to discover just who is doing the creating.” – Eric Michael Leventhal

SOMETIMES I BECOME TOO OVERJOYED when I recognise the powerful nature of the subconscious mind.

When I look around and recognise the fantastic persons who are my family, the progressive friends whom I have attracted around me, the silent doctors which surround my home and the other inspirational things which I have created, according to Mr Leventhal, I feel ecstatic.

In retrospect, when my world was falling apart because most of my thoughts were negative, I became very depressed because I was detaching from some of what I had created. However, the depression healed as I repeated many positive affirmations which reconfigured my mind.

I also recognised that I was responsible for the drama in my life, therefore I did a 180-degree turn. I am now more conscious of my thoughts and better understand my divine purpose for being on earth. In essence, I truly love and appreciate who I have become as I strive to empower others.

Last week we explored a powerful combination of honey and cinnamon. This week the spotlight is on another – lemon and ginger.

They are used by many persons as a household remedy for sore throat, but how many readers know the other solid uses of silent doctors lemon and ginger? The literature revealed that this powerful combination can be used to treat many health challenges. Lemon and ginger:

• improve circulation;

• reduce cholesterol;

• relieves nausea and motion sickness;

• boost metabolism and the immune system;

• soothe menstrual cramps, headaches, pain and inflammation;

• treat ovarian cyst;

• prevents nausea, colds and flu;

• prevent salmonella and other bacteria;

• lower the effects of diabetes;

• assists with weight loss;

• assists with skin and hair looking radiant;

• fights arthritis;

• provides heartburn relief;

Finally, I must instruct all readers of this column to commence research about bees to understand the importance of honey to humans. It is also essential to plant ginger in your kitchen garden. Ginger is a fascinating silent doctor and its growth will stimulate you. Additionally, if you have enough land space, you can go to the Soil Conservation Unit and purchase a lemon tree and plant it.
