A St Peter family plans to turn up the heat on Government if a crematorium is allowed to be built at Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens on the grounds of the All Saints’ Anglican Church.

Ember Investments Corporation, the company that operates the Coral Ridge Memorial Gardens Cemetery & Crematorium in Christ Church, has started to build a chapel and gardens at Mount Pleasant, similar to that at Coral Ridge. A crematorium is to follow.

However, Vashni Scantlebury, who lives in England, and her brother Elridge, who resides at Pleasant Hall, the community opposite the site, are opposed to the crematorium.

Scantlebury has written to Prime Minister Mia Mottley asking her to reverse the decision granting approval. (MB)
