‘Give us time’

GIVE US more time.

That’s the plea of the recently elected executive of the Barbados Amateur Bodybuilding & Fitness Federation whose legitimacy has been challenged by a dissatisfied group after controversial elections last month.

The group, represented by attorney Keith Simmons, claimed there were some irregularities at the special general meeting and has threatened to bring an injunction against the federation unless new elections are called.

The federation was given until November 24 to respond and it did but has subsequently asked for more time to evaluate its case. It is being represented by Queen’s Counsel Ralph Thorne. (AT)
