THE CHURCH MUST BE willing to correct the “tremendous challenges” driving young people to violent crimes.
And, as a result, it is important that churches partner with civic society and organisations, said Canon Noel Burke yesterday during a service to mark the Nation Publishing Company’s 42nd anniversary, which was attended by directors, managers and staff.
It took place at the St David’s Anglican Church, the hometown church of retiring chief executive officer and publisher Vivian-Anne Gittens, to whom special tribute during the service.
An appreciative Burke said partnerships with organisations such as THE NATION, whose initiatives included a healthy lifestyle movement and a campaign against violence, were necessary. (AC)
