IT’S BEEN almost three decades in the making, but yesterday the people of St John, and St Joseph, St Philip and St George, too, finally got their polyclinic.
But now it’s much more than a primary health care facility.
The multipurpose centre, known as the David Thompson Health And Social Services Complex, was officially opened yesterday.
And at about 5:15 p.m. the Thompson family – Mara, widow of late Prime Minister David Thompson, and daughters Osa-Marie and Oya, officially unveiled the multimillion- dollar facility to the rousing applause of parliamentary colleagues, assorted dignitaries from both the executive and the church, party faithful and curious onlookers.
