Life’s a breeze in Long Gap

In the spirit of celebrating Barbados’ 49th anniversary of Independence a SATURDAY SUN team recently embarked on a cross country journey to discover and learn more about the island.

The first stop was the northernmost parish, St Lucy.

Neither did I nor photographer Christoff Griffith need a plane or a GPS to safely locate it. All we needed was a little patience.

Leaving Fontabelle, St Michael, it took us about 35 minutes driving along Highway 2A before we reached the St Lucy Parish Church in Mount Gilboa. From there, we travelled past the Darryl Jordan Secondary School in Trents, to Content, where we slowed at the four-cross by the Crab Hill Police Station.
