QUEEN’S COLLEGE’S bid to win another volleyball title was crushed yesterday evening in the final of the Massy Secondary Schools’ Boys’ Volleyball League Final at the Barbados Community College Gym.

Facing home side and defending champions BCC, the Queen’s College lads were beaten in straight sets 25-14, 25-16, 25-21 in front of a large crowd. Queen’s College had come into yesterday’s final on a high following the capture of the girls’ title by their girls’ team on Monday evening.

BCC, boasting seven national junior players in their line-up, totally dominated the game to win their second title in a row.

On Monday, Queen’s College defeated Christ Church Foundation to win the girls’ title. (PG)
