Foundation in charge in cross country

CHRIST CHURCH FOUNDATION dominated Zone Three of the Secondary Schools’ Cross Country Championships today.

The Championships moved to the scenic environs of the Lodge School at Massiah Street in St John where 15 schools competed. Foundation won two of the divisions and finished among the top four in the others. They won the senior boys and senior girls divisions, finished second in the junior girls and fourth in the junior boys.

Foundation won the senior boys division with 48 points, the least amount of points. Princess Margaret was second with 59, third was St Leonard’s Boys’ with 66 points while Lodge School was fourth with 69 points. They won the senior girls division with 24 points while St Michael School was second with 51 points.

St Leonard’s Boys’ proved to be hard to keep up with in the junior boys division as four of their athletes finished in the top five. They ended as the top school in this division with 23 points with St Michael School second with 54 points and Lodge School third with 62 points. Foundation was fourth with 101 points while Princess Margaret was fifth with 149 points.

The top school in the junior girls division was The St Michael School that won with 30 points while Foundation was second with 41 points. Lodge School was third with 68 points. (PG)
