THE BARBADIAN DENTIST who was arrested at a United States airport for carrying a “suspicious item” is seeking legal advice.

Dental practioner Anthony McCaskie said he was shocked after his arrest onboard an American Airlines flight at Miami International Airport on Monday.

“The suspicious item was a dental replacement item in my backpack, the same backpack was checked twice by TSA scanners,” he recalled.

The item was a cable which will be used to replace an old cable on his Cavitron ultrasonic scaler which he uses during teeth cleanings.  (TG)
