WAVENIE JOHNSON and Shameka and Shakira Shepherd have been laid to rest.

The St Philip trio who tragically died in a vehicular accident on October 25, were buried together today at Bushy Park cemetery.

Before their funeral service at the Sir Garfield Sobers had even concluded, scores of onlookers had carpeted the Bushy Park area.

As senator David Durant read the scripture and committal, family members, friends and well-wishers were unable to hold back tears and screams of anguish.

One friend of Wavenie Johnson, unable to accept the loss, was seen crawling at the gravesite, screaming her friend’s name.

The other victim of the accident, Carey Brathwaite, will be buried on Thursday while the sole survivor Nakisha Shepherd remains warded at the Queen’s Elizabeth Hospital. (AD)
