PURPOSEFUL ABD PENETRATIVE BOWLING, backed up by impressive sure-handed fielding helped Barbados Pride move to within two wickets of an outright victory over Jamaica Scorpions when their first-round WICB Professional Cricket League Regional Four-Day match at Kensington Oval climaxes today.
After toppling the Scorpions for 189 in reply to their 373 in the first innings and enforcing the follow-on, the local franchise reduced the visitors to 161 for eight in their second innings, still 23 runs behind with two wickets in hand.
The Bajan bowlers snapped up 16 wickets yesterday while six of the Scorpions’ batsmen suffered the ignominy of being dismissed twice on the day.
