BLUE WAS THE COLOUR but not the feeling today in Warrens as the Diabetes Association of Barbados hosted their Blue Circle 5K walk and 15K run.
Held in observance of World Diabetes Day, president Noreen Merritt said over 500 participants had registered for Massy sponsored event.
Merritt said that she believed this year’s run had attracted more people than previous years.
This increase in numbers was largely due to the moving of the event from Saturday as it was held in previous years, to Sunday evening, which seemed to better facilitate runners.
The events kicked off as scheduled despite intermittent showers and were led by members of the Barbados Amputees Rehabilitation and Enabling Society. (AD)
