Barbados will continue to source the services of an overseas-based forensic pathologist.
In fact, the Attorney General’s Office will not be advertising for the position to be filled any time soon, even though the post has remained vacant for seven years.
“It makes sense to have one in Barbados. The intention is to maintain one here, but at the moment we will bring in the services of a forensic pathologist when it is needed,” Attorney General Adriel Brathwaite said.
“There aren’t any plans to fill the vacancy right now,” he indicated.
