Cannabis found on fishing boat

THREE MEN ARE assisting police with investigations into the discovery of 492 pounds of compressed cannabis onboard a fishing boat.

Police say a joint operation was carried out yesterday by members of the Drug Squad, Police Marine Unit and the Barbados Coast Guard about four miles off Needham’s Point, St Michael.

A fishing boat was intercepted and the cannabis was found. (PR/NB)
