Mottley calls for end to party ‘circus’

Opposition Leader Mia Mottley has had enough of the impasse between Christ Church West Member of Parliament Dr Maria Agard and her constituency branch executive.

And she sent a strong message to the entire Barbados Labour Party (BLP) membership yesterday saying she would meet with Agard and the branch executive this week to settle the matter once and for all. However, she warned party faithful to keep the BLP’s dirty linen out of the public domain.

“Let it be understood that this is a team, and there is one captain,” Mottley told a packed hall at the Christ Church Foundation School. “I will lead 29 players on to the field,” she said, breaking her silence on the feud.
