A GROUP OF MEN from Hackleton, St John, have committed themselves to the beautification of Hackleton Cliff and nothing will stop them; not even Multiple Sclerosis (MS).

The SATURDAY SUN team met the group as they were clearing the area with little more than some hoes and cutlasses. One of the men, 52-year-old Mark Alleyne, suffered from MS, but with cane in hand he, like the other men, was committed to clearing the area even if Government wasn’t.

Despite suffering from a debilitating neurological disease that affects the body’s nervous system, Alleyne explained: “I try to clear the place ’cause the visitors come here and sometimes the grass isn’t all levelled.”
