AN EMOTIONAL MOTHER  is pleading with Barbadians to help her find her missing teenaged daughter.

Eighteen-year-old Emela John has disappeared without  a trace since October 7. And Tracey Lawrence said the last eight days had been hell for her as all efforts to find the former St James Secondary and University of the West Indies Open Campus student  had been futile.

Lawrence told the DAILY NATION yesterday that she and other family members  and friends were preparing to search the St Lawrence Gap,  Christ Church party strip as information they had suggested that she was seen there early last week before she was reported missing.

The mother, who lives  at Clarkes Gap, Derricks, St James, said Emela moved out of her home after turning  18 to live two gaps away in Chapel Gap, Paynes Bay. She was living at a male family friend. It was from that house she was reported missing.
