Brandon Squires and Adriel Bayrd are the top performers in this year’s Barbados Secondary Schools’ Entrance Examination.
Brandon Squires of People’s Cathedral scored 242.96A in this year’s Common Entrance Examination, as it is also known, while St Gabriel’s student Adriel Bayrd scored 242.42C.
The results were announced earlier this morning by Minister of Education Santia Bradshaw, who returned to the island to make the announcement. She was in Miami receiving medical care.
This year, Bradshaw said, 35 children scored 100 in Mathematics. There were no full scores in English, but Sheann Gibbons of Belleville Grammar School scored 99. She will be going to Harrison College. (SAT)
