STOP PROTECTING MEN who prey on young boys and girls and let the perpetrators to be brought to justice.
That’s the appeal to families of young victims of sexual abuse from Attorney General Adriel Brathwaite. The minister said he was saddened by the way in which men were being allowed to get away with such heinous acts.
That families are prepared to turn a blind eye to this kind of criminal act being inflicted on a young girl or boy in their family “is wrong, wrong, wrong,” Brathwaite said during an interview with the Weekend Nation.
“Why should a 53-year-old man be sleeping with a 13-year-old girl and it is condoned because he is able to provide the family with some money?” Brathwaite asked.
