Help out disabled, minister urges

ARE YOU CONTRIBUTING to the challenges or the solutions of your brothers and sisters?

That was the question tossed out by Minister of Social Care Steve Blackett to participants and the public during his address at yesterday’s one-day stakeholders’ forum for the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.

He urged those in attendance to leave no stone unturned since what they did would benefit present and future generations.

“Laws are necessary but we must see ourselves as being our brother’s or sister’s keeper and offer support and a helping hand to all those in need,” he said.
