SEVERAL SENIORS from communities in St Michael were feted by members of the St Michael arm of the Lions Club last Sunday evening.

President Indra Skeete said it was part of the club’s activities for Senior Citizens Month.

“It’s our way of giving back to our senior citizens. So we just having a little tea party and entertainment,” Skeete said, adding that a resource person was also scheduled to speak to the seniors on fire prevention.

The tea party at the National Union of Public Workers’ (NUPW) headquarters attracted less than the 50 they had catered for, but those in attendance had the full attention of members of the club and lots of food and drink. They also went away with some extra treats in colourful gift bags.
