Primary school visits NCC

LITTLE ONES soaked up facts about “going green” at the National Conservation Commission (NCC) yesterday.

At least 12 primary schools participated in the environmental tour hosted by the NCC for a third year, under the theme Trees: The Circle Of Life.

Special projects officer Ricardo Marshall said the commission is the secretariat for the Arbor Day celebrations and therefore designed the tour to incorporate lessons on the importance of trees and the environment.

Marshall said the aim of the event was to influence the practices of the students who can then share ecofriendly tips.
