JUST LIKE HE DID in the first season, trainer Victor Cheeseman easily took away the honours in the Barbados Turf Club’s just concluded second season.
Cheeseman, who has spent most of his life working with horses, was rewarded in the earnings column with a final figure of $262 640 accumulated from 15 wins.
His season wins were dominated by Poetic Licence and Sirius Black. The former, a filly owned by Bills Inc. and bred by Philip Moseley was the winner of the Walls Magnum Classic Barbados Guineas and the Massy United Insurance Barbados Derby.
The Geoffrey Bynoe-bred gelding Sirius Black which is owned by David Bynoe, Stephen Walcott and Marina Corbin, won three races and was second on the other three occasions.
