IT IS EXPECTED to a be a tough fight to the finish when Barbados oppose Ecuador in their Americas Zone Group I tennis tie from Friday to Sunday at the National Tennis Centre in Wildey.

The home team reassembled after most of the players got in much-needed matches in tournaments in Calgary, Canada, and in the case of Darian King, the  US Open qualifiers in New York. Also on the team are Russell Moseley, Haydn Lewis, and Seanon Williams while the non-playing team captain is Kevin Yarde.

At a press conference yesterday at the Gymnasium of the Garfield Sobers Sports Complex, Yarde said they were not taking the South American side lightly.

“It is going to be a fight for sure. We don’t expect it to be easy. The guys [went to Calgary], got some much needed match play to get match ready for this tie.
