THE tear-stained faces of three Barbadian children have dramatically turned into the three brightest smiles of London, England.

Recently wrestled from the evil hand of abuse, they started an upbeat new life 4 000 miles away.

On Thursday, they left sunny  87 degrees weather and on Friday morning faced temperatures in the 60s, but sunny. Today it will be cooler in the 50s and raining.

They are swapping suffering for sweaters and not complaining a bit.

As the children settled into their new home in Southwark, Alvin, the 35-year-old father, who gained full custody, thanked Barbadians for supporting his six-year struggle.
