Joshua’s Black lash shocks Stakes field

TWO OF THE three raging hot favourites on the Hyundai Sale/Graduates Raceday had their colours lowered in the feature events yesterday at the Garrison Savannah.

In the feature race, four-year-old chestnut gelding Joshua stunned favourite Sirius Black to take the Hyundai Sale Graduates Champion Stakes and Trophy over 1 570 metres while Daddy’s Wish turned the tables on the unbeaten filly Pay As You Go in the  Hyundai Hyundai Tucson Sale-Graduates’ Futurity Stakes and Trophy race.

Installed firm favourite, Sirius Black dictated the early pace with Vanity Affair for the first half-mile of the race.
