Local entertainers have been granted duty-free concessions.

Days before the official launch of Crop Over 2019, Minister of Culture, Sports and the Creative Economy, John King made the announcement at the National Cultural Foundation (NCF) this afternoon.

Speaking in the presence of Chief Executive Officer of the NCF Carol Roberts-Reifer, King told members of the media: “We have finally been able to put in place the granting of duty-free concessions to cultural practitioners as of tomorrow Wednesday. There are various steps to follow for registration before you can claim the concessions.”

However, the Minister said that Value-Added Tax will not be waived. (AGB)
