Jahan’s father wants answers

JOHN KING has returned to Barbados on a mission – to find out how his six-year-old son Jahan King died.

The 33-year-old, who was in a Canadian prison when he was given the devastating news of his son’s death, returned to Barbados last Thursday, a week after Jahan was buried.

Jahan died on June 28, after being taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by his mother Lasonta Gill. Police have launched a criminal investigation into his death after a post-mortem revealed he died from chest trauma.

Speaking to the MIDWEEKNATIONat his Deacons Farm, St Michael home yesterday, King said the first thing he did when he landed was to visit his son’s graveside. He also attended a special service for him at St Leonard’s Anglican Church on Friday.
