YOU CAN TELL when an idea’s time has come. Things fall into place and people get on board with little fanfare, knowing they are part of something greater than themselves.
That certainly seems to be the case with the charity, Think B.I.G. (Building an Intellectual Generation).
The brainchild of youthful University of the West Indies (UWI) graduates, Stevia Arthur, Stephen Blackman and Keisha-Anne Alleyne, the two-year-old venture has literally taken off, as people keep opening doors for them.
For example, from having to depend on the living rooms of family members to hold classes, a doctor, inspired by their revolutionary approach to education, was moved to offer them a space in her building free of charge.
