SHOWJUMPEREmily Kinch has been lauded for her performance at last month’s XVII Pan American Games in Toronto.

Although Kinch’s riding was good, time faults narrowly put her out of the finals by over 200th of a second. She finished 37th out of 50 positions.

“We are so incredibly proud of Emily. She rode against the best in our region and many with multiple Olympic Games under their belts. Emily has shown where hard work and dedication can lead,” president of the Barbados Equestrian Association (BEA), Monique Archer, told WEEKENDSPORT.

“This was Emily’s first time at games of this level and she had a very short period to become acquainted with her horse Teddy [Du Bosquetiau]. I was so proud to be able to watch them and she rode brilliantly. Always calm and poised. She is a wonderful ambassador for our sport and also for Barbados,” said Archer.
