Five passengers in a route taxi (ZR) and two in a car were injured when the two vehicles collided earlier today at Oxnards, St James.
Marcia Hurley of nearby Violet Circle and her daughter Shanisa Hurley, who was driving the car, were among those injured.
The other vehicle, ZR 202, was driven by Andre Simmonds, 38 years, of Spring Farm, St Thomas. It is owned by Ramonaas Transport of Mahogany Lane, St Michael.
The accident occurred around 1:20 p.m. at the junction of Oxnards Main Road and Oxnards Road.
Four ambulances transported the injured to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
