Police probing drowning

Police are investigating the drowning of 21-year-old Leondre Francis, of Suriname Road, Horse Hill, St Joseph, which reportedly occurred about four o’clock yesterday evening, at Pierhead Beach, Bay Street, St Michael.

Francis was in the company of a friend when he encountered difficulty. Lifeguards performed CPR and he was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by ambulance, but was pronounced dead after efforts to revive him.
