DWIGHT HOLDER, teacher, father-to-be and a mother’s only child was heralded by friends and family as a perfect example for all young men to follow.

Unfortunately, the life of the 29-year-old man was snuffed out by a gunshot as he was cooling out with relatives at the corner of Longford Place and Bedford Land, Bush Hall, St Michael, around 11 p.m. Thursday.

He died at nearby Snaggs Land, while two other men, his cousin John Weekes and another resident, Kemar Barnett, were wounded and left hospitalised.

The incident has taken a toll on Holder’s mother Caroline, a car park attendant, and she did not want to speak about the tragedy when she returned to the family home in Bank Hall after seeking medical attention yesterday. (LK)
