POLICE ARE STILL NOT releasing the names of four shooting victims who were injured during the week.

Investigations are continuing into four separate shooting incidents over a four-day period in which eight people received injuries. One was fatal.

Police public relations officer Acting Assistant Superintendent David Welch said once the victims were still under medical care and the police did not know the full circumstances in which they were shot, the police would not give out their addresses or names. Welch noted that it was a precautionary measure as the police did “not want to endanger them any further”.

On Monday, Kadooment Day, two men were shot, one at Leinster Road, Station Hill, St Michael, and the other along Black Rock, in the same parish.  (LK)
