AS AN INCREASING number of businesses complain of shortages of important items, a member of the Freundel Stuart Cabinet is appealing to customs officers to return to normal duties.
Minister of Industry, Commerce and Business Development, Donville Inniss, said yesterday the situation was deteriorating and it was time for the long-running industrial action to cease.
“I have had several conversations with members of the commercial sector who continue to be under immense pressure because of the continued delays in getting containers released from the port and unstuffed at their business places and this is resulting in a shortage of items.
