FORMER Bermuda Police Chief Mike Jackman and veteran player Denzil Hall are having an enjoyable Crop Over on and off the golf course.

The two combined on Saturday to win the inaugural Nissan Crop Over Championship, at the Barbados Golf Club at Durants, by three points over their nearest rivals.

Jackman and Hall scored 49 points in the Stableford competition over 18 holes, in a highly competitive tournament which attracted 43 two-ball teams.

The winners were followed by three teams who each scored 47 and had to be separated by the count-back system. In the end, the father and son team of Charles and Donald Leacock were adjudged second while Neil Douek and Keith Bowyer were third and Tyrone Mapp and Eric Layne, fourth. The fifth-placed team was Frank Drakes and Livvy Hunte (45 points).
