New principal of the Barbados Community College (BCC), Annette Alleyne, has given the assurance that the breach in a recent exam at the college is being investigated.

A statement from the principal today said there was indeed “a breach in the examination regulations for the CORE 101 Ethics and Citizenship final examination scheduled for May 14, 2019, at 9:00 a.m.”.

“On behalf of the administration of the college, I offer my sincerest apologies to all students who were affected. The CORE 101 examination is now rescheduled for Thursday, May 16, at 9:00 a.m.,”  Alleyne stated.

Answers to the multiple choice segment of the examination were leaked on social media and a parent called the school yesterday to complain. The exam was halted about 30 minutes after it started. (PR/SAT)
