A WEEK after the Run Barbados Series ended, IDL Walkers Sand Quarry Isolation Cavaliers cricket captain Jamaine Bullen had his own batting marathon yesterday.
Bullen led from the start to the finish with a responsible, unbeaten century, as Isolation Cavaliers batted the entire second day of the Barbados Cricket Association’s Intermediate final against North Stars at the Samuel Jackman Prescod Institute of Technology ground, The Pine.
The 24-year-old right-hander ended the day on a masterful 133 not out with Isolation Cavaliers on 233 for seven off exactly 100 overs in the four-day final, which continues on Saturday and ends on Sunday.
He occupied the crease for six and a half hours, faced 308 balls and stroked seven fours on the slow and uneven outfield.
Bullen, who started the day on 47, with his team resuming from 97 for three overnight after Saturday’s pedestrian opening day, quickly brought up his fifty before accelerating to reach three figures during the last over before tea was taken with the total on 166 for four. His century came off of 217 balls, with six fours in 275 minutes.
