A WOMAN just past her three score ten and another ten, plus a few, has been creating pure hell for her daughter. Don’t worry, this old gal is not suffering from dementia or anything of the sort.
People in the district say she has all the gossip about the daughter and has been talking out everything, especially to a young clear-skinned gal who is relatively new to the district.
This old church-goer even allowed a family enemy to use her landline to call the police for her daughter.
The granny has been saying the daughter steals from her among other things and is turning a deaf ear to all the pleas for there to be peace, as blood is thicker than water.
The question is who will look after the old lady if she continues to say nasty things about her own offspring, given how bad things had gotten and getting worse.
Give us a hand
Miss Most Wigs is getting some kudos today from some of her underlings who want her to step in and help their situation. As members of the order of St Cathrine who is their patron, they are requesting Miss Most Wigs to investigate what is happening below the golden stool.
They say things are bad in the house of the saint whose birthday was on Christmas bank holiday and warned that no one could wait for too long for things to get better. The battle between these people who are the fount of knowledge and the disagreeable functionary who leads them, is going from bad to worse.
Hence, the plea for Miss Most Wigs to step in and take a firm stand even if the controversy involves a former colleague who once worked near the Constitution River.
Ready for action
Well, June seems to have been too soon. And July might come and go, before the brightest and the best near St Michael’s cathedral will know what is happening.
The short man is crouching and in the stirrups, ready for the race, but he has to get past the Deacons posse. It is not clear whether peter the Master will allow too many of his followers to be touched by the whip.
So all eyes are now only on the finish line but what the readings of the overseas turfites have been saying; yea we agree with the old master or no let the status quo remain.
If the gates fly no one should expect any seven-year, five-year or any year sugar bag to take with them.
Some who operate their own business 10 till 4 regardless to the level posted on; some who spent most of the day posting on social media and attacking the silent man; some who come to work with a valise full of racing forms and papers for the pools; and some who spent hours each days studying how to beat the one-armed bandits, well, the hour may be drawing neigh.
September may not only be about remember the hurricane but the pending gale force wind. If the gates don’t fly then the jockey may have to operate everything from Pine Hill.
