GREGGMAR SWIFT will be chasing gold when he lines up for the finals of the men’s 110 metre hurdles tomorrow at the World University Games in Gwangju, South Korea.
Swift has been drawn in lane six with the fastest qualifying time of 13.65 seconds. On either side of him are Serbia’s Milan Ristic and Damian Czykier of Poland who did 13.74 and 14 seconds flat, respectively in the first round.
The Barbadian is getting some competition before he joins his compatriots at the Pan American Games in Toronto.
Meanwhile, injury affected sprinter Fallon Forde’s (below) participation at the Games. 
Forde clocked 10.77 seconds in the 100 metres and did advance, but he did reach the semi-finals of the 200 metres, his specialty.
He did a season’s best 21.46 seconds in the heats of the half-lap, but picked up an injury in the second round and came home last, clocking 22.08 seconds.
