Bust of Sir Everton restored

SIR EVERTON WEEKES is back where he belongs.

Head held high and overlooking Bajan cricket.

The 3Ws are back together again, as the bust of one of Barbados’ all-time great cricketers, Sir Everton, has finally been restored and displayed once more atop Cave Hill by Wanstead Park.

Just one year after the monument was vandalised, Sir Everton’s bust was proudly returned alongside those of Sir Frank Worrell and Sir Clyde Walcott in an unveiling ceremony that included former Test player Cammie Smith, Barbados Cricket Association CEO David Deane and member of Parliament for the area Donville Inniss.
