THE BATTLE OF THE COLLEGES’ opening act still has one final scene left.
Long-time basketball rivals Harrison College and Queen’s College will have to return to the court next week to finish their latest showdown after rain brought an early end to yesterday’s Co-operators General Insurance Under-16 Knockout final at the YMCA.
It was a rather unfortunate end to an epic back-and-forth thriller, with “Kolij” barely clinging to a 40-36 lead before a short but heavy shower washed out play with just seven minutes left in the game.
The two teams are now slated to return to the “Y” on Monday morning to close out that fourth quarter before doing battle again just one day later in the league final at the Wildey Gym. (JM)
