HUNDREDS of WORKERS from all statutory corporations will be vacating their offices for a meeting at the headquarters of the National Union of Public Workers (NUPW) on Thursday morning.

This follows the ongoing impasse between the NUPW and the Barbados Investment and Development Corporation (BIDC) over the forced retirement of some of the corporation’s employees last week.

Akanni McDowall, president of the NUPW, is however keeping any action they are planning to take after the 10 a.m. meeting close to his chest.
