POLICE ARE ON the scene where an elderly man was seriously injured earlier today after being struck by a motorcycle.
The accident occurred around 9:30 a.m. along Bank Hall Main Road, St Michael, as he was crossing the road.
Eyewitness reports say two men were on the motorcycle and they had performed a wheelie shortly before the accident.
The rider allegedly fled the scene while the pillion rider remained. However, he too tried to run when he heard sirens approaching, but was caught.
NATION Online understands police officers are currently searching for the driver.
Reports indicate the man passed away while en route to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, but that has not been confirmed by police. (CA)
