JAMAICA SWEPT the Supreme Ventures Sunshine netball series, defeating Barbados 66-31 in the third and final match on Sunday night at GC Foster College.
As with the first two games, Jamaica led all quarters 18-7, 34-18 and 46-27. Barbados enjoyed a productive second period where they scored 11 goals, but this was overshadowed by the fourth where they only managed four.
For Barbados, Shonica Wharton scored 21 goals from 25 attempts, Latonia Blackman eight from 10 and Rhea Bryant two from two.
Jamaica again went with four shooters. Jhaniele Fowler Reid netted 28 from 32; Thristina Harwood four from five; AnnaKay Griffiths 21 from 24 and Simone Gordon scored 13 from 15.
Jamaica won the first two matches 52-22 and 64-30, respectively. (SAT)
